There are different types of calculators
used as wieght loss calculators like: the BMI – Body Mass Index
Calculator. BMI is the number calculation based on the person’s
weight and height to know the trustworthy indicator of body
fatness for any body. BMI calculator is thus used for screening
the weight categories that may lead to health problems. Calorie
calculators are also a type of weight loss calculators.
How to calculate the weight loss:
While initiating the log, the first day enter your weight both
in the Trend and Weight columns. Then compute the figure for
trend column as: deduct preceding day’s trend from today’s
weight – note result with (–) ve sign if it’s so; move the
decimal position in the resultant figure one set to the left,
round-up the figure to one decimal position by plummeting the
second decimal and adding the first decimal by one if second
decimal position is 5 or more. Add this figure to preceding
day’s trend number and insert in today’s trend column.
Now for calculating the number of pounds you lose or gain every
week, deduct the final trend figure for the month from the first
trend figure, then split it by 4 for obtaining wieght loss per
week. For instance, if on day one of the month, the trend figure
was 147 and on the month’s last day it’s 140 means you shed 7
pounds during the month, so weekly loss is 7/4 or 1.75 pounds.
Weight Maintenance Calculator:
Similar method as described above could be applied for
maintaining the weight calculations. Actually the track of
calorie consumption and daily activities are more important for
any weight loss or gain plans. |
